Hedrick Brothers Construction

Wednesday we met with Ben Clemens, Chéri Pavlik and John Banting of Hedrick Brothers Construction http://www.hedrickbrothers.com to talk about our plans. It went well. Very informative. We discussed at some length the issue of the gap between the ideal of the "off the grid" solar powered house and the reality of current technology, which is ...not quite there. This has been a recurrent theme of our investigations. The mantra "Minimize energy waste, minimize energy needs", is becoming our primary focus.  Next step: find an architect.
